My work focuses on the relationships of formal elements to explore objecthood, materiality and narrative. My work bounds between painting and sculpture, often combining both. Object plays many roles in my work. Object can function as character, experience, or space. Placing the material handling of my work in the realm of unfamiliar interaction, is how i'm able to cast each of my pieces out from what is typical and expected of story and form.
